Postpartum Support  

Postpartum Doulas nurture new moms and the family.  The early days after childbirth are a time of adjustment, learning new skills, and bonding with the new baby.  The postpartum doula facilitates this process by supporting breastfeeding, assisting with basic newborn care, siblings, household management and much more.     

Every family and situation is unique.  Postpartum doula services can be tailored to your specific needs.  It can be an invaluable resource for women with Caesarean-sections, premature births, multiple births and families with young children.

My name is Colleen. I am an RN certified in Childbirth Education with ICEA, International Childbirth Education Association, and a certified Lactation Educator with CAPPA, Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association. I have taught in hospital and private practice settings. I also have over 10 years experience in pediatric care. My focus now is on private instruction to better serve pregnant women and their partners. Without the confines of institutional policies, procedures and culture, together we are able to explore topics more fully so you can truly make informed decisions about your labor, delivery and feeding choices.
